On November 12, we opened the doors of our new photography studio for newborn clients Clancy and Nate Lane who drove all the way from Iowa City for the Meghan Goering Photography experience.
My clients know that what you wear really affects the final look of your photos, and Clancy could not have looked more stunning in the beautiful gown she wore from Needle & Thread.
Before Clancy’s session, I had asked her if she was excited about their session with me.
I never could have anticipated the response she was about to give me.
She said, “We have had quite an emotional past couple weeks. My husband was diagnosed with rectal cancer just a few days before Hollan was born. I know he’s wanting photos done with our babies before he starts chemo and his appearance changes. I know we’ll cherish these photos forever. ❤️”
Each of my clients chooses me for a different reason, but it is often because the moment they’ve asked me to capture has immeasurable, infinite value.
For that reason, it truly is an honor to serve each family that selects me and I take delight in helping these families create heirloom pieces to remember the moment. For the Lane family, together we designed a beautiful velvet album showcasing their favorite images with Hollan’s name pressed into the cover. Their history is preserved and I know they’ll enjoy thumbing through their book for years to come.
